For the fifth year, the municipality of Chania continues to support the music technology seminars in villa Kunduroy. Lessons will be divided in two parts, for a period of about three months (50 hours total). In the first semester we explore the basics of music production using Logic Audio, while in the second semester we focus on sound synthesis using PureData.

AMIS (Asynchronous Music Information Streams) is a software MIDI interface based on Granular synthesis. The AMIS idea puts Granular synthesizer on a different platform than ordinary GS. Rather than altering the real physics of a sound wave in frequency and time, it is a method of organizing MIDI information, based on the Asynchronous cloud streams theory of organizing Granular synthesis events by Curtis Roads...
