My music projects, on Dot and Transparent, are available to download from my new page on bandcamp.com. Bandcamp is a flexible music website, giving fans the choice to download their favorite music in a very simple way and in all available music formats (320Kb.mp3, FLAC & lossless .wav).

on Dot is probably the most experimental of my projects and definitely one of my favorites. I wrote it when living in London, sometime after the beautiful concert of Karlheinz Stockhausen'in Barbican (one of the last before he died). I was inspired by him and more specifically from his masterpiece, Kontakte.

Transparent, was written some years later, after meeting Lyn Dobson and had the pleasure to record his latest work at the time, Signs. Lyn has a long history in British music, member of Soft Machine for years, is without a question an amazing saxophone player. Transparent is partly based on the recordings I made with Lyn, mixed with synthesized sounds and processed using various digital FX experimentations.

Music technology seminars for one more year.

Lessons will be divided into two parts.

The first semester explores music production based on Logic Audio, while on the second semester we will focus on sound synthesis, using PD.

Rediscovering some of my first Shockwave applications, I found Space Traffic.

Space Traffic plays random environmental sounds to simulate different acoustic spaces. In reality, is a fun application made to 'steal' some of your free time this summer. It runs from your browser or you can download it and play it offline.

I also found Sleeping Aid, a Shockwave application aim to help people with sleeping problems. It is based on the sound masking acoustic phenomenon, using pink noise to mask external sounds. Does it work? Try it yourself and find out. If not, you can still use it as a pink noise generator...

Sunday 07 of December:

Chania Biological Park: Performing music with a self-made string instrument made by George Gelesis (SoGroup). The instrument works on a unique music scale, founded by G.Gelesis.

This scale is further based on one of Kepler's laws of elliptical planetary motion. The instrument is played by two persons, with the rhythm dictated by each person's breaths.

I am presenting an introduction to Acoustic Ecology on the 1st Ecology Festival - taking place in Chania, Crete. On the same day you will be able to listen 'Ecoturn', a 20 minutes music piece specially commissioned for the festival.

Program starts at : 18:00 hours.

Ecoturn will be available to download for free from sonicspace.org a couple of days after the festival.
